..... is South East Burgundy, bordering the foothills of the Jura. 
Our home *Les Lavandes, is an 18th century maison, constructed in the classical Bresse style, with abundant beams and a traditional low pitch roof. Cream coloured charolais cattle peacefully graze in the fields around the house. It is situated in a tiny hamlet close to the village of Savigny en Revermont which has several small shops and a large boules pitch in the centre!
The panoramic view from the house reveals tiny white church spires and vineyards planted on the hillside slopes. There are plenty of easy walks and cycle rides on our doorstep and the River Valiere is a five minute walk if you wish to go fishing or try and catch a glimpse of a kingfisher.
Les Lavandes offers space to be able to relax and enjoy this beautiful region. It is the ideal starting place to discover both Burgundy and the gateway to Switzerland. With freshwater crystal lakes to cool down in the summer, chateaux and old towns to explore, vineyards with great wines to sample, where could be better than this undiscovered part of France?
